Laminate Flooring in Woodstock
Technological and innovative advances in flooring means today’s laminate flooring nearly matches the look and feel of authentic hardwood and other natural surface flooring materials. Laminate flooring has always been known as an easy material to work with, for both professionals and DIYers. But, if you value your time, hiring a laminate flooring installer in Woodstock will save you time and possibly money. This is especially true if you should happen to install the product incorrectly. Rework is always expensive!
Laminate flooring comes in many styles, textures, and sheens. This means you can have practically any look you desire in your home. Compare this to using natural materials and you will see why laminate has become so popular. It is tough. It is durable. Combine these attributes with the flexibility and cost savings and laminate just makes sense.
What is laminate flooring you ask?
This is a very common question in our field. Laminate flooring is a man made product that features a surface made to look like genuine hardwood. Below that you will find a composite board attached to the surface to give it its well-renowned durability and strength. Because it is man made, we can get exactly what we want. From color to wood grain to sheen. There is no guesswork involved.

Here are just a few reasons why you should choose laminate flooring:
- Laminate flooring is more affordable than hardwood
- Easy to get exactly what you want…no defects commonly found in hardwood
- Extremely tough and durable

Frequently Asked Laminate Flooring Questions
There are too many FAQs associated with laminate to include them all here. These are some of the most often asked questions to our estimator and installers. If you have more questions, please call our office today!
Q: Where can I safely install this material in my home or business?
A: We recommend installing laminate flooring anywhere you would consider installing hardwood flooring. By that we mean it is great for living spaces and high-traffic areas, but may not be a good choice for areas threatened by water damage like bathrooms, kitchens or laundry rooms.
Q: What is a “floating floor” and should I be concerned?
A: Nearly all laminate floors are “floating floors”. This means the elements of the floor are attached to one another, but not to the subfloor. It literally just sits on top of the existing floor.
Q: If a plank or section of my floor is damaged, can it be replaced?
A: Yes…however, it may be difficult depending on where the section to be replaced is located. The way the floor snaps together means that each piece is dependent upon the adjacent pieces for stability. If you had your floor installed by a Woodstock flooring contractor, then give them a call and let them advise on how to best handle this project.
